Team Management
As I state in the accompanying section on player management, we expect players to manage themselves, this is the worng way of looking at it. At least from my perspective, we need to remove this burden from the athletes.
Team management is the same, the more we allow our players to concentrate on the Judo the better they will do. Thorough management will relieve this burden from the player and if done properly will create opportunities that the teams presently miss out on.
A good team manager or management team, will know all the details, will have it all written down and will be 2-3 steps ahead of the game.
In the situation of a team trip, the management will know where everything is, they will know how everything is planned, they will check all the details beforehand. When a player needs to visit the bathroom, the manager should know both where they are and which stall is the cleanest!
