Remote 1-1 Coaching
I have recently as part of my FdSc project been working on some tools to help coach players, tools that can be applied remotely.
The methodology and tools I have been and am slowly refining and building are designed to help me, help players to develop their own Judo and their own Judo career. They are far from perfect and far from complete, but they are ready for willing volunteers!
I'd like to invite any competitive players who are looking for personal coaching to email me (lw@judocoach.com) to start a conversation on how I might work with you (and your existing coaches) to help you progress to higher levels.
My tools at this stage are very much focussed on the non technical aspects of your Judo, areas such as career planning, goal planning, strategy development, etc.
I firmly believe that these tools and methodologies can have a positive impact on a players Judo. I would welcome enquiries from up and coming players in particular, please email me if this is of any interest to you.
The process would begin with some emails then with you completing a "Player Assessment Form" I developed for my degree at the University of Bath. This Player Assessment is a tool to encourage you to assess your Judo situation and gives us both something to discuss and work from. From this assessment, we will converse and develop stategies and ideas to develop your Judo, it'll be great!
This 1-1 coaching is not designed to replace your club, team or national coach or coaching structure. I see it as an opportunity for you to work with an outsider who can look from a different perspective to help you work with your coaches to improve your performances.
This remote coaching would be done at no charge, seeing as it is an unproven experiment under construction, and of course because I am a Judoka and we never seem to charge for anything. :-) Of course any expenses we might decide to accrue we would decide about how to pay for those as and when they arise. Of course, donations and gifts from my Amazon wishlist etc (see my projects page) would also be appreciated.
